According to Sky, Union Saint-Gilloise and Glasgow Rangers were in advanced talks with Bo Svensson to replace Sébastien Pocognoli and Russel Martin, respectively. However, the 46-year-old declined both offers

The Belgian Pro League champions announced David Hubert as their coach after Pocognoli decided to leave for AS Monaco. Sky’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Svensson was their first option, but the club didn’t accept his request to bring his own assistant coaches.

Rangers will now have to look for their third option after they failed to reach an agreement with both Steven Gerrard and Svensson. The Danish coach is without a club since Union Berlin relieved him of duty in December 2024.
