VfB Stuttgart could miss out on signing three players they've been heavily linked with this summer.

The Swabians agreed personal terms with 1. FC Nürnberg midfielder Caspar Jander, but were unable to reach an agreement with the 2. Bundesliga club.

Following the arrival of another central midfielder in Chema Andrés from Real Madrid, it now seems unlikely that the Nürnberg star will make the switch to MHPArena squad this summer.

Stuttgart is facing similar difficulties with Giannis Konstantelias and Cole Campbell, from PAOK FC and Borussia Dortmund, respectively.

The Bundesliga club have reportedly withdrawn from negotiations for Konstantelias after talks with PAOK proved unfruitful.

As for Campbell, Bild reports that Dortmund may want to keep the youngster to maintain depth on the wings, especially after Jamie Gittens’ departure to Chelsea and Julien Duranville’s long-term injury.

Campbell, however, is pushing for the move to go through, seeking more regular playing time.
