With VfB Stuttgart's pursuit of Dženan Pejčinović seemingly in trouble, the Swabians have continued to look for alternatives.

Even though the German striker is keen to leave relegated VfL Wolfsburg for Stuttgart, the clubs are yet to settle on a negotiated price

Now, as reported by Sky Germany, Stuttgart are once again interested in Sidiki Chérif, just as they were in last winter's transfer window.

Stuttgart eventually lost out on the 19-year-old who moved from SCO Angers to Fenerbahce for €18million at that time.

However, after just 17 appearances and only three goals, the Istanbul club are open to a quick departure for Chérif.

The pay-TV channel even goes as far as to suggest Stuttgart have already begun talks regarding a transfer for Chérif.

What a possible transfer model might look like remains unclear for now for the Frenchman who is contracted to Fenerbahçe until 2030.
