VfB Stuttgart are expected to make a move for Southampton’s Caspar Jander if Angelo Stiller leaves the Bundesliga club this summer, according to Bild.

Sport Bild reported on Wednesday that an offer of €50 million could convince Stuttgart to cash in on Stiller in the summer.

The Bundesliga club could then turn to Jander, a player they already showed strong interest in last summer, to replace him.

Jander is expected to cost €25 million this summer – a fee Stuttgart would be willing to pay, provided they receive the sum they expect for Stiller, according to Bild.

Stuttgart would not be alone in their pursuit, however, with RB Leipzig, Ajax and several Premier League clubs also said to be monitoring the 23-year-old midfielder, who joined Southampton from 1. FC Nürnberg for a reported €12 million fee last summer.

According to multiple reports, Stuttgart have already strengthened their midfield with the signing of Grischa Prömel on a free transfer from Hoffenheim.

However, with the futures of Stiller, Chema Andrés and Nikolas Nartey uncertain, there could still be room for Jander in the squad.
