Prior to Bayern Munich's Champions League semi-final second-leg against PSG, Thomas Müller addressed fans of the Bavarian club via X/Twitter with an emotional video message.

"Hello and good morning from Vancouver. Of course, I was in touch with one or two buddies again today just before the game. The anticipation is palpable.

“Then the following flashback hit me: how awesome it actually is, and of course it was for me, to stand in this Allianz Arena during these exciting Champions League semi-finals and quarter-finals, and what a fantastic atmosphere there always was,” he added.

Müller – who famously represented Bayern for 25 years and won a Champions League title twice in 2013 and 2020 – then called upon fans of the German record champions to raise the decibels tonight.

"Make this evening the best football atmosphere there has ever been. That's what I want. I want to read about it in the newspaper tomorrow. This team is unique. I don't think we even realize how special this group is.

"So urge them forward with everything you've got. Even those who are normally a bit more reserved and quiet should step out of their comfort zone, be loud. Of course, respect the opponent, but also urge your own boys forward," Müller concluded.
