Back in February 2024, Bryan Zaragoza made the switch from Granada CF to Bayern Munich.

At the age of 22, moving to the biggest club in Germany was a big step for the winger, who never managed to establish himself with the Bavarians.

“I sat at the table and thought I was in FIFA. I saw Neuer, Kimmich... I had come from playing football in the neighbourhood,” Zaragoza explained in an interview with Cadena SER.

“It was a very difficult step," he admitted.

"I'd never left my comfort zone – the language, the weather... And joining a top-level team with Musiala, Coman and Gnabry competing for your position was not easy at all.”

Having featured just seven times for Bayern since then, Zaragoza has had loan spells at Osasuna, Celta Vigo, AS Roma and now Espanyol, who have an obligation to buy him for €8 million next summer if certain criteria are met.

Even if things never took off for him at Bayern, the now 25-year-old has no regrets about his decision to move there.

“I don't regret going to Bayern Munich. It was an important step,” he said.

“It taught me a lot. I will never regret it.”
