Austria maintained their unbeaten start in League B of the UEFA Nations League with a comeback draw in Dublin against the Republic of Ireland. Bundesliga duo Alexander Prass and Michael Gregoritsch scored Austria’s goals in the space of six second-half minutes after the hosts led 2-0 at the break with Troy Parrott’s brace.
Prass started the comeback with his first-ever goal for Austria twenty minutes from time. Fellow Hoffenheim midfielder Patrick Wimmer provided the assist after doing the same for Junior Adamu’s goal against Kosovo.
Gregoritsch scored the equalizer from a direct free-kick as Austria stay top of the group with 7 points. The FC Augsburg striker reached 25 goals in 80 international caps for Ralf Rangnick’s side.
Konrad Laimer was one of the ten Bundesliga-based players featured for the visitors as the FC Bayern all-rounder played his first game since the Champions League opener against Bodø/Glimt.
Meanwhile, Israel and Kosovo drew goalless in the other game from the group. Hoffenheim duo Fisnik Asllani and Leon Avdullahu featured for Kosovo as the point helped them to stay level with the Republic of Ireland on four points.
