The former Bayern Munich president , Uli Hoeness, who retired in 2019 as president but now still holds a place on the board at the club spoke recently about the coach Vincent Kompany.
In 2024, Vincent Kompany joined from Burnley FC after compensation was given to the club by Bayern Munich.
Now, comparisons have been made between him and Thomas Tuchel who oversaw the 2023-24 season with Bayern Munich but left that summer before the Belgian joined.
Uli Hoeness went on the Podcast auf eine weiß-blaue Tasse this week and spoke on some negatives for the former Bayern coach Tuchel.
He said: “He once asked Stanisic if he could speak German even though he was born here. And regarding Gravenberch, he said I can't use him at all.”
In contrast, on Kompany, Hoeness said: “This coach makes every player better. I've never seen him hold a press conference where he says: I need a left-back or a right-back.”
Despite all this, it is fair to suggest that Uli Hoeness has made some pretty brash comments in the media beforehand which have sparked controversy. These include his comments on 50 + 1 within the last year.
