Germany U20 international Ilyas Ansah has completed a move to 1. FC Union Berlin from SC Paderborn.

The Berlin club haven't disclosed the length of the 20-year-old’s contract.

“Union are a special club that stand for passion, solidarity and honest football - exactly what I associate with this sport,” said Ansah.

“When I was approached, I didn't have to think twice. For me, the move to Berlin is a huge opportunity to develop further at a high level, gain new experiences and contribute to the team's success.

"I'm looking forward to getting to know the environment, taking part in pre-season training and then hopefully playing at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei as soon as possible.”

Ansah impressed in the 2. Bundesliga last season, tallying six goals and six assists in 33 appearances.

A versatile attacker, he has also featured 12 times for Germany’s U20s, scoring five goals.
