VfL Wolfsburg secured a much-needed victory at Hamburger SV, ending a seven-game winless streak with a 1-0 away win.

Kamil Grabara played a pivotal role between the posts, making several crucial saves – including a penalty stop from Ransford Königsdörffer.

After the game, in which HSV fired 27 shots and racked up 2.77 expected goals without scoring, Grabara admitted that Wolfsburg didn’t play well and were fortunate to come away with the win.

“Let’s not twist reality. To be honest, we weren’t particularly good. We were bad,” Grabara told Kicker.

He did, however, praise his teammates for one key aspect.

“You can’t deny that we fought. That’s the most important thing in football to fight,” Grabara said before underlining that there’s plenty of room for improvement

“We probably used up all our luck for this season, so a game like this is unlikely to happen again.”
