VfL Wolfsburg and Jenson Seelt are unlikely to extend their collaboration beyond the summer, according to Kicker.

The 22-year-old centre-back has featured 10 times for Die Wölfe since joining on loan from Sunderland at the end of the summer transfer window.

Wolfsburg hold an option to buy, but it appears unlikely they will make the deal permanent, with Seelt having missed large periods due to injuries and illness.

Currently sidelined with a knee injury, Seelt has not made a single appearance for Wolfsburg since the start of the year.
