Bayern Munich assistant coach Aaron Danks was pleased with his team's 6-1 victory over 1. FC Magdeburg in the DFB-Pokal but acknowledged the challenges they faced.

"It was a really good night for us. It was a difficult game. In the end, 6–1 is great, but before that, it felt very different. It was really difficult to press them. We had more control in the second half and had more options as well. I'm really happy, but it was by no means easy today," Danks said.

The assistant coach also welcomed the news that Vincent Kompany had been discharged from hospital.

"Vincent is out of hospital. That's fantastic news. We're very pleased that he's getting better. But he needs to rest. He needs to recover, spend time with his family and continue to get better. He's doing better and is on the road to recovery. We'll simply try to do our best and prepare for the game on Saturday against Dortmund," Danks added.
