As Bayern Munich gear up for the second-half of the season with a friendly game against RB Salzburg this afternoon, Vincent Kompany has waived fears regarding player absentees.

Sky Germany's Kerry Hau confirmed earlier this afternoon that Bayern travelled to Austria without Alphonso Davies, Sacha Boey, Joshua Kimmich, Manuel Neuer and Jamal Musiala.

“Some are ill, some are following individual training programs. That's also the case for Jamal Musiala," Kompany explained, ensuring the missing names are long-term concerns.

“If he [Musiala] gets minutes in one of the next 3 games, we'd be happy. Everything is going positively. Today is just a bit too early,” added the Belgian coach.

After the Bavarians wrap up their game against the Austrian side which kicked off at 15:00 today, they'll return home and prepare for their Bundesliga return against VfL Wolfsburg.

Earlier today, Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund also provided an update on Jamal Musiala, stating the youngster is “glowing” as he continues his comeback from a long layoff.
