Fresh from a 4-2 derby win over local rivals VfL Bochum, Borussia Dortmund play their first home game of this year's Champions League when they host Celtic on Tuesday night.

The win over Bochum saw Dortmund bounce back from a horrific 5-1 defeat at the hands of Stuttgart, but it was far from all roses in Friday's game. BVB found themselves 2-0 down after just 21 minutes and were lucky not to concede a third before coming from behind to win 4-2.

New signing Serhou Guirassy was instrumental in the comeback, scoring a brace to take his tally to four goals in his last three appearances. He also scored in Dortmund's Champions League opener, a 3-0 win over Club Brugge that got Nuri Sahin's side off to a flying start in Europe.

Celtic will also be pleased with their Champions League opener, too, as they thrashed Slovan Bratislava 5-1 at home In general, Brendan Rodgers' side are in excellent form, having won all nine of their games so far this season. Most recently, they crushed St Johnstone 6-0 away from home.

With Celtic in such good form, BVB coach Nuri Sahin will not be taking his task lightly.

“They were very dominant in their first Champions League game. They are a prestigious club with lots of talent in their squad and a fantastic coach. It's going to be a challenge for us, but it will be a big one for them too, one they haven't faced yet this season. I'm looking forward to it. It wouldn't be fair to call them outsiders,” Sahin said at the pre-match press conference.

With the exception of Giovanni Reyna and Filippo Mane, the BVB coach has a full squad at his disposal, with Jamie Gittens and Julian Ryerson having shaken off knocks sustained against Bochum. Marcel Sabitzer is available after missing the Bochum game.

Carter-Vickers (toe) is out for Celtic.
