Mohamed Amoura is set to return to Wolfsburg’s squad for the game against Borussia Dortmund. The club suspended the Algerian from last week’s game in Köln due to disciplinary reasons.

Mohamed Amoura's reaction was very, very good,” said head coach Daniel Bauer ahead of the home game against Dortmund. “He's already trained properly before, but that was probably his best training week since I've been head coach.”

Amoura is Wolfsburg’s top scorer in the Bundesliga with seven goals this season. The 25-year-old was also the only Wolfsburg player to reach double figures last term. He scored his first goal since returning from the AFCON in a 3-1 defeat in Mainz on matchday 19.

“If he keeps performing like that, he'll bring us a lot of joy this weekend. On Monday, we briefly hugged and looked into each other's eyes. That's when I saw that the fire was there. He has got the drive to turn things around.” said Bauer as his words hinted at the striker returning to the side for Saturday’s fixture.
