Germany vs. Ukraine preview: Team news and predicted lineups
Germany face Ukraine in the penultimate friendly before Euro 2024 on Monday night at the Max-Morlock-Stadion in Nürnberg.
The last time Germany and Ukraine met in a friendly was almost a year ago, when the game ended in a 3-3 draw.
Champions League finalists Nico Schlotterbeck and Niclas Füllkrug (Borussia Dortmund) and Toni Kroos and Antonio Rüdiger (Real Madrid) will be rested following Saturday's game at Wembley, while Leroy Sané is unavailable due to suspension. Nevertheless, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann still has a strong squad to choose from.
With the exception of Rüdiger and Kroos, Nagelsmann is expected to field the players who he plans to start in Germany's Euro opener against Scotland later this month.
Waldemar Anton is set to replace Rüdiger in central defense, while Pascal Gross could partner Robert Andrich in the middle of the park in Kroos' absence.
