Having achieved a 0-0 draw away to VfL Wolfsburg in the relegation play-off tonight, Ralf Kettemann expressed his imnense pride in his SC Paderborn side.

“The lads did a top job, they were brave, showed courage and implemented things really well,” he said in the mixed zone after the match.

"Of course, I would have liked to have seen us get a bit more out of one or two situations. But there were also a few moments that we had to come through.

"We defended brilliantly. The lads showed great commitment and intensity throughout. If everything had gone perfectly, we might even have grabbed a late winner in the end.

“But all in all, we’re naturally very pleased with the result, especially with the manner of our performance,” Kettemann concluded.

After a solid performance between the sticks which earned him the man of the match award, shot-stopper Dennis Seimen was also content with the result.

“I think it's okay that the game ended 0-0 today; it's also clear that you can't defend everything. On Monday, our fans will carry us in our stadium, and we're looking forward to it,” he said.
