Official: Dajaku to Union on six-month loan

Terms of 19-year-old Leon Dajaku's move to FC Union Berlin were revealed on Sunday. 
Some reports indicated that Berlin's Köpenick club neared an outright purchase of Leon Dajaku from the Bayern reserve squad. After the teenager cleared his medical on Sunday, the fifth-place German Bundesliga side that the deal for the Kosovar would be a six-month loan with a purchase option.

"I'm convinced that the move to Berlin is the right step for me," Dajaku said in a statement, "At Union I'll have the opportunity to get a toehold in the Bundesliga and prove myself at the highest level. The team has thus far played an outstanding season thus far and I'm excited to become a part of it."

Dajaku can be used very flexibly in offense, playing on both wings and also working as a holding midfielder. Since Bayern snatched him up from VfB Stuttgart to play with their reserves in 2019, his market value has increased from €300,000 to €2.3 million. He remains under contract with the Bavarians until 2023.
