Confirmed: Leon Dajaku heads to Sunderland on loan
While details on a transfer from Bayern remain sketchy, it can be confirmed that Leon Dajaku will play for AFC Sunderland in Football League One this season.

As noted in an earlier article, it is tacitly assumed that Union purchased the 20-year-old from FC Bayern this summer. Some reports say that the Berliners paid €1 million to sign the attacker permanently.
In any event, Dajaku--who has still only made three appearances for Union thus far--is headed to the Stadium of Light on a season-long-loan with third-tier English side Sunderland.
"Due to his absences owing to injury and illness, it was difficult for Leon to play his way into the team," Runhert said in a statement, "We consider this an important step in his further development."
Confirmation on the case of another German footballer--keeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann of FC Bayern II--supposedly headed to Sunderland on loan has not come yet.
🤝 Viel Erfolg bei @SunderlandAFC, Leon!
