Sport Bild Report: Guirassy to remain out until October

Germany's main sporting tabloid is currently reporting some most bitter news for Borussia Dortmund.

Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid currently claims that new BVB signing Serhou Guirassy's knee ligament injury will keep him out much longer than expected. Dortmund's anticipated timeline for Guirassy's return initially saw the Guinean international once again be fit for action against 1. FC Heidenheim on the coming season's third match day. According to the paper, however, the 28-year-old remains in a knee splint that hinders his return to training.

Sport Bild reports that Dortmund are know working under the assumption that Guirassy won't be available before early October. If this prognosis proves correct, the selected candidate to lead the BVB attack will miss the first five match-days. Such news should surely expedite the club's attempts to acquire German international Maximilian Beier from Hoffenheim. Alternate strikers Youssoufa Moukoko and Sebastien Haller are thought be on the verge of leaving.
