Report: Füllkrug interested in joining Milan, BVB set price tag

Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio's website reports that veteran German striker Niclas Füllkrug's interest in moving to the Italian Serie A is high. After positive talks between the striker and AC Milan, Füllkrug's German club have set a price tag for the 31-year-old.

Additional talks between AC Milan and German national team striker Niclas Füllkrug scheduled for this week reportedly leave the 31-year-old interested in moving down south. While Füllkrug retained little interest in moving to a different Bundesliga club, the editorial staff of Italian transfer guru Gianluca di Marzio's website reports that the Hannover native is amenable to continuing his career abroad. Füllkrug has never played outside of Germany.

Many veteran German strikers have opted to spend the latter stages of their career in Serie A. Miroslav Klose, Mario Gómez, Oliver Bierhoff, Rudi Völler, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Helmut Haller all played in Italy in their final years as professionals. Dortmund are apparently prepared to let Füllkrug go for a set price tag. Die Schwarzgelben want €15 million for the player they invested significant money in a little less than a year ago.
