Sport Bild: Füllkrug rules out move to Stuttgart

Germany's main sporting tabloid - responding to reports emerging earlier in the day - claims that a transfer of BVB striker Niclas Füllkrug to VfB Stuttgart is not on the table. 

Reports emerging earlier today concerning a potential transfer of Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Füllkrug to VfB Stuttgart are - according to Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid - a dead end. With it appearing as if VfB lead striker Serhou Guirassy might transfer to Dortmund, the German paper does claim that there has been some talk between players and clubs about a potential swap deal. 

German journalist Felix Arnold nevertheless claims that Stuttgart aren't interested in talking on Füllkrug's €7 million salary. Moreover, Füllkrug isn't interested in leaving die Schwarzgelben even if Guirassy does arrive; preferring instead to either play alongside or compete with the Guinean international. At the age of 31, Füllkrug won't entertain the notion of restricting the highest paid contract of his playing career.
