Karim Adeyemi had a special night at the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, scoring a hat-trick as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Celtic 7-1.

But it wasn't all roses for the striker, who was forced off in the second half after picking up an injury.

Speaking after the game, Adeyemi expressed hope that the injury won't keep him out for long.

"I had to come off due to a little problem with my thigh. I hope it's not too bad. We'll see what happens tomorrow," he said in a post-match interview.

“I've had something like that a couple of times in the last few years, but it didn't feel as bad as it usually does. Hopefully I'll be back soon.”

Despite the injury, the 22-year-old was in good spirits.

"I'm making the best of it and taking the good energy with me. It was my first Champions League hat-trick. That's why I'm happy," he said.
