Bayern München's decision to sell Juan Bernat to Paris Saint-Germain during the summer has been questioned a lot as critical voices have pointed out that the left-back added valuable depth to the Bavarians' squad.

It seems Bayern president Uli Hoeness is tired of discussing the decision as he today pointed a finger at Bernat for nearly costing the Bavarians their Champions League progression against Sevilla last season.

"You keep asking why we sold Juan Bernat as if FC Bayern's well-being depends on him. When we played in Sevilla, he almost single-handedly made us get knocked out of the Champions League. That day, we decided that we wanted to let him go," Hoeness said at a press conference today.

According to Bild, PSG paid just €5 million to acquire the services of Bernat.
