Bayern Munich vs. Arsenal preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Here is our preview of Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg between Bayern Munich and Arsenal, including predicted lineups.

After a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium last week, everything is still up for grabs as Bayern Munich prepare for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal.

The Bavarians are coming off a 2-0 win over FC Köln in which head coach Thomas Tuchel rested some of his key players while giving chances to the likes of Noussair Mazraoui, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Raphael Guerreiro and Mathys Tel.

After being rested against Köln, Manuel Neuer and Leroy Sané are both in line to come back into the starting lineup.

Mazraoui is expected to start again, filling in at left-back in the absence of the suspended Alphonso Davies.

Meanwhile, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel revealed at a press conference on Tuesday that he plans to play Leon Goretzka and Konrad Laimer in the middle of the park, just as he did last week.

According to Bild, Raphael Guerreiro is expected to start on the left wing after playing in the ‘A team’ in training.

In addition to Davies, Bayern will be without Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Sacha Boey and Bouna Sarr.

As for Arsenal, they haven't had the best build-up to the game, as they slipped to a shock 0-2 defeat at home to Aston Villa at the weekend.

The game left Arsenal sweating over the fitness of Martin Ødegaard, who was forced off in the 79th minute, but the captain was back in training on Tuesday and is therefore available.
