When Bochum face Fortuna Düsseldorf in the upcoming two relegation playoff games, Manuel Riemann will not be in goal.

This was confirmed by the Bundesliga club on Monday.

"Manuel Riemann will not be in the squad for the last two games of the season. This was agreed between VfL Bochum and the goalkeeper today. The reason is irreconcilable differences in team matters," the club said in a statement.

"VfL make it clear that this is not a suspension or punishment. VfL Bochum and Manuel Riemann will work through this situation after the end of the season."

Riemann has been in goal for Bochum in all but one Bundesliga match this season.
