FC Bayern will face European giants FC Barcelona in their opening fixture of the revamped UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign. José Barcala confirmed the lineup for his debut in the competition.
The visitors are without Sarah Zadrazil and Vanessa Gilles due to injuries. Lina Oberdorf sits on the bench with a potential continental debut for Bayern on the line, while Klara Bühl and Lea Schüller hope to continue their solid starts to the season. Frauen-Bundesliga winners are yet to concede in the league this term.
Similarly, Barcelona only let in one goal from their first six Liga F encounters. Irene Paredes, Patricia Guijarro, and Aitana Bonmatí return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench in the 4-0 win over Eibar. Clàudia Pina is also back in Barcelona’s squad.
