Honsak completes Heidenheim move

1. FC Heidenheim have sealed the capture of Darmstadt attacker Mathias Honsak.

SV Darmstadt may have been relegated from the Bundesliga, but Mathias Honsak is staying in the top flight.

1. FC Heidenheim, who secured another season in the Bundesliga with a 1-1 draw against Mainz on Sunday, have confirmed the 27-year-old's arrival from Darmstadt on a free transfer.

"Mathias has been of interest to us over the past few years. We are delighted that we have now been able to sign him for next summer," said FC Heidenheim head of sport Robert Strauß.

“With Mathias, we have gained an experienced attacking player who has the potential and the will to take the next step in his career with us.”

Honsak has been in and out of the starting eleven for Darmstadt this season, making 22 appearances with one goal and one assist to his name.
