Kane praises "fantastic" new Bayern signings Palhinha and Olise

Harry Kane is full of praise for Bayern Munich's new signings Joao Palhinha and Michael Olise.

Bayern Munich star Harry Kane picked up the Golden Shoe award on Tuesday after finishing the 2023/24 season as Europe's top scorer with 36 goals.

In a wide-ranging interview afterwards, the England captain was asked about Bayern Munich's two new arrivals from the English Premier League, Joao Palhinha and Michael Olise - and he was full of praise for his new teammates.

“Two fantastic players first and foremost. I think they suit our system really well,” he said (via @iMiaSanMia).

"'Pal' [Palhinha] is an animal in that defensive midfield role. I've had many battles against him. He tackles, he intercepts, he reads the game really well - so he's a great addition.

Michael's ability on the ball is fantastic. The way he moves, the way he goes around players - and his final product is at a high, high level. And he's still very young, so there's even more improvement to come.

“Great additions to the squad. All that does is push each other to be more motivated and have more competition for places.”

Olise started in Sunday's 3-2 win over Wolfsburg, while Palhinha came off the bench.
