Reigning German champions Bayern München cruised to their fifth straight Bundesliga win as they beat bottom-placed Greuther Fürth 3-1 away from home on Friday.

Thomas Müller gave the Bavarians an early lead, slotting home after Alphonso Davies' cross was deflected off a Fürth defender.

With 31 minutes played, Joshua Kimmich doubled the lead as he curled the ball past Sascha Burchert from the edge of the area.

Bayern were reduced to 10 men when Benjamin Pavard was shown a straight red card just after the break for fouling Julian Green as the last man of the defending team.

But that didn't stop Bayern from increasing their lead in the 68th minute, when Sebastian Griesbeck sent the ball into his own net.

Cedric Itten pulled one back for Fürth with 88 minutes played, but it was too late to initiate a comeback for the home side.
