Bayern München were reduced to 10 men in the beginning of the second half of yesterday's 3-1 victory over Greuther Fürth in the Bundesliga when Benjamin Pavard saw red for a challenge on Julian Green.

Speaking to DAZN after the game, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann expressed his disappointment with Pavard, describing the right-back's sliding tackle as unnecessary.

"I hope it will only be two games [of suspension]. I think the sliding tackle wasn't absolutely necessary and that we could have defended the situation better," said Nagelsmann.

"I think it was a red card. It was a tackle on the achilles tendon, which is usually not a good place to tackle."
