18-year-old Ilaix Moriba finally made his debut for RB Leipzig after his €16 million move from FC Barcelona as he came on for the last 11 minutes of Saturday's 3-0 win over VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga.

In an interview with Bild, RB Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch has explained why the youngster hasn't played more.

"He has to be patient. He's only 18 years old and wants everything right now. But in our squad, he has to earn every minute. That's the most important thing for his mentality," Marsch told Bild.

"He has to get used to the intensity in Germany, which is very different from Spain, where it's a lot about playing the ball around and keeping possession. What's most important here is to understand the intensity."

The central midfielder's contract runs until 2026.
