VfL Wolfsburg will be without Wout Weghorst for their Champions League clash with RB Salzburg on Wednesday because the striker has contracted the coronavirus.

The Dutch striker handed in a positive test after complaining of symptoms on Sunday morning. He was then immediately isolated and went into domestic quarantine.

All other tests carried out on Sunday and Monday on players, coaching staff and support staff were negative.

Weghorst has scored four goals in 11 games for 'Die Wölfe' this season.
