Julian Nagelsmann did not directly coach his team in Wednesday night's Champions' League victory. The 33-year-old head coach remained behind in the team's hotel with symptoms of a cold. The club confirmed on Thursday morning that their gaffer had tested positive for COVID.

Nagelsmann is still experiencing some symptoms despite being fully vaccinated. The club said that he would be flown back to Munich in a private plane and remain in isolation until further notice.

As of yet, there is no word as to whether the flu-like symptoms experienced by Leon Goretzka are also corona-related.
