VfL Wolfsburg confirmed early Tuesday evening the Florian Kohfeldt would succeed Mark van Bommel as the team's head-coach.
Florian Kohfeldt will be back on the Bundesliga sidelines after only a short break. The former SV Werder Bremen trainer was dismissed by the Hanseaten before the final match of the 2020/21 campaign. Now, nine fixtures into the 2021/22 season, he has a new job.

Germany's green company team confirmed the 39-year-old's appointment on Tuesday, noting that he had signed a contract through the end of 2023.

Kohfeldt coached 143 competitive fixtures for Werder in the three-and-a-half years he was in charge of the senior side. He won just under 35 percent of his fixtures.
