Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann believes his team were deserved winners over Freiburg in their 2-1 Bundesliga win at Allianz Arena.

Nagelsmann's troops went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Leon Goretzka and Robert Lewandowski before Janik Haberer scored a late consolation goal for the guests.

"In the end, it was a deserved win," Nagelsmannt claimed at the post-match interview and added:

"We had a lot of chances in the box, but Freiburg defended well, so perhaps we didn't have clear chances like we did in the last few games. In the end, we were a bit unlucky to concede the way we did. Two goals were enough, but today there was more to be had.

"We went into the last international break having lost to Frankfurt. We wanted to do better today. It was also a win against a side directly competing with us at the top of the table. It was an important win."

Bayern head into the international break as league leaders, four points clear of Borussia Dortmund.
