A series of robust performances in recent weeks led Danish attacker Robert Skov back in the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim starting XI and back into contention for a spot in Kasper Hjulmand's top team.

Unfortunately, an ill-timed injury looks to negate all of the progress the 25-year-old recently made. Skov, who had to be subbed off during his team's 0-2 loss to VfL Bochum over the weekend, underwent several medical examinations.

Germany's Kraichgauer labelled the diagnosis "a very serious thigh" injury and said that Skov would likely be lost for "several months".
