Florian Neuhaus recently admitted that falling down the pecking order at Gladbach hasn't been easy for him, emphasizing he "had hoped for more backing from the club" in his difficult situation.

Gladbach coach Adi Hütter has now responded to Neuhaus' statements, telling Westdeutsche Zeitung:

"I'm not the club, I'm the coach, and I have to make decisions based on performances.

"Of course he has to stay calm and training. He doesn't have any other choice," added Hütter.

"What does he mean? Who did he mean? Of course taking care of something like this is part of my job. We will discuss it internally when he comes back."

After starting the first five Bundesliga games of the season, Neuhaus has been left out of the starting eleven for Gladbach's last six league games.

Most recently, the central midfielder came on and scored in last week's 1-1 draw with Mainz.
