The Bundesliga outfit have confirmed today that head coach Jesse Marsch and first-choice goalkeeper and captain Peter Gulacsi will miss the game after testing positive for coronavirus.
Assistant coach Marco Kurth will not travel to Belgium either after a close contact of his tested positive.
Second assistant coach Achim Beierlorzer will deputize for Marsch in the dugout tomorrow while Josep Martínez is expected to replace Gulacsi in goal.
"Jesse Marsch and Peter Gulacsi have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of tomorrow's Champions League match versus Brugge and will not travel to Belgium. They were immediately isolated from the team and are in quarantine at home," said the club in a statement.
"The positive tests for Marsch and Gulácsi come in spite of all first-team players and staff either being vaccinated against or having recovered from coronavirus."
