Oxford to be out for several weeks

Reece Oxford is expected to be out for a number of weeks after picking up an injury in training.
FC Augsburg will have to manage without Reece Oxford for several weeks after the centre-back sustained a muscular injury in training.

"It's a blow for us, of course. It happened in training. He was just unfortunate," Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl told Bild.

Whether Oxford will be able to feature for Augsburg again in 2021 is unclear. 20-year-old Danish defender Frederik Winther is likely to deputize for him alongside Jeffrey Gouweleeuw in central defence.

Oxford, 22, has played 12 matches for 'Die Fuggerstädter' this season, scoring three goals.
