Leroy Sané scored the winner in the second half to lift Bayern München to a 1-0 victory over Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga this evening.

In a very one-sided match, Bayern dominated possession and shots from start to finish, but struggled to take the lead.

Thomas Müller did come close to open the scoring in the seventh minute, but his header was cleared off the line by Andrés Andrade.

Four minutes later, Leroy Sané sent a thunderous shot towards Stefan Ortega, but the ball was pushed out for a corner by the Bielefeld goalkeeper, who did what he could to keep a clean sheet.

But Bayern kept creating opportunities and were eventually rewarded for their persistence with 71 minutes on the clock as Leroy Sané's smashed the ball past Ortega from outside the box.

With their win, Bayern stay one point clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund ahead of next week's top-of-the-table clash between the two sides.
