Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah was delighted with his side's performance in tonight's 3-1 Bundesliga victory over RB Leipzig.

Leverkusen were 2-0 up at the break thanks to goals from Florian Wirtz and Moussa Diaby. André Silva pulled one back for Leipzig just over the hour mark, but Jeremie Frimpong struck back quickly, scoring the last goal of the game.

"That was a great game from us. It was very intense," Tah said after the final whistle.

"I'm very happy that we took home the win today. That was another small step forward, which gives us a lot of confidence.

"The three points are extremely important."

With the win, Leverkusen leapfrog Freiburg into third place. RB Leipzig, meanwhile, sit eighth.
