Seven relief appearances for the senior team across all competitions. One league start. One recorded assist. The 2021/22 cycle has been anything but a chance to progress for Borussia Dortmund's Wunderkind Youssoufa Moukoko. A slew of injuries have hampered the teenager's ability to keep match fit for club and precluded any further opportunities to appear for country.

As reported by local newspaper Ruhrnachrichten, and confirmed by Kicker magazine correspondent Patrick Kleinmann, Dortmund expect Moukoko to be sidelined through the end of the calendar year.

Moukoko started for the BVB U23s in the 3. Liga match against FC Kaiserslatern over the weekend, but had to be subbed off at the hour mark.

After not appearing in the club's training sessions over the next four days, both sources report that the club will allow him to rehab for the rest of the month.
