Hertha BSC have confirmed their interest in VfB Stuttgart centre-back Marc-Oliver Kempf, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

"Many players' contracts expire next summer. Players whose contracts expire and who have quality are always exciting. He is a player, who is certainly interesting," Hertha managing director for sport Fredi Bobic told Sky Germany.

According to reports from Germany, Kempf's move to the German capital is already a done deal.

The 26-year-old joined Stuttgart from Freiburg as a free agent in 2018. He has featured 14 times this season, scoring three goals.
