Wout Weghorst could be headed for a move to the English Premier League before the transfer window closes.

According to Daily Express, the Wolfsburg forward is in talks with numerous English clubs, including Burnley FC.

Weghorst has been linked with a move away from Wolfsburg for a while, but club boss Jörg Schmadtke recently told Bild there had been no offers for the Dutchman.

However, the situation might have changed since Schmadtke's interview.

"There have been no inquiries for Wout. It's surprising that there is no offer for someone, who regularly scores goals in the Bundesliga and has clearly announced publicly that he is willing to move," he said.

Sport Bild reported earlier this month that Weghorst is keen on a move to England.
