Bayer Leverkusen won their third straight Bundesliga game as they beat VfB Stuttgart 4-2 at BayArena on Saturday evening.

New Stuttgart signing Tiago Tomas cancelled out Moussa Diaby's first-half goal just after the break, but Amine Adli quickly restored the home side's lead, making it 2-1 after 52 minutes.

It looked like game over for Stuttgart when Florian Wirtz added to the scoreline with 86 minutes on the clock, but Tomas struck again to give the guests a lifeline. However, Patrik Schick killed the game off soon after, making it 4-2 in the 90th minute to seal the win for 'Die Werkself'.

With their win, Gerard Seaone's third-placed side are just two points behind Borussia Dortmund in second place, who take on Union Berlin tomorrow.

Stuttgart, on the other hand, remain in huge problems at the other end of the table, with 'Die Schwaben' sitting 17th after taking just one points from their last six Bundesliga outings.
