Alphonso Davies gives brief update on himself

Alphonso Davies insists he's "fine", but it remains unclear when the Bayern defender will be back on the pitch.
Since he was diagnosed with mild myocarditis, an inflammatory heart condition, following his COVID-19 infection, Alphonso Davies has missed five weeks of action.

Speaking to Bild on Wednesday evening, the Bayern München left-back insisted he's doing well, but didn't put a timeframe on his return.

"I don't feel any pain, I'm fine," Davies said.

"But I don't know when I will be able to return to the pitch," he added.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann recently gave an encouraging update on the left-back, saying that "the best-case scenario seems to have happened in terms of the healing process."

"It's still going to take a while, but the danger signs around his heart condition are certainly gone. He has another appointment in two weeks," explained the Bayern coach following last week's 4-2 defeat against Bochum.
