Wolfsburg will be boosted by the return of Lukas Nmecha for Saturday's Bundesliga match against Union Berlin.

Having been out for more than three months with an ankle injury, the 23-year-old is in line to make his return this weekend.

"There is pleasant news: Lukas Nmecha will be in the squad on Saturday and will also get a decent amount of playing time," Wolfsburg coach Florian Kohfeldt told reporters at a press conference today.

He also revealed that Xaver Schlager is in contention to start after making his injury return off the bench last week.

"Xaver Schlager passed the stress test last week and is a candidate for the starting eleven against Union," said Kohfeldt.
