Nagelsmann expecting to have Davies and Goretzka back for Champions League quarterfinals

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann is confident that Alphonso Davies and Leon Goretzka will be back in time for next month's Champions League quarterfinals.
Bayern München could be boosted by the returns of long-term absentees Alphonso Davies and Leon Goretzka before their Champions League quarterfinal tie next month.

"I am confident that they will be able to play again in the quarterfinals," said Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann on Tuesday, according to Sport1, after watching his side thrash RB Salzburg 7-1 and book a spot in the next round.

Davies has been out since January after being diagnosed with mild myocarditis, an inflammatory heart condition, following his COVID-19 infection. Meanwhile, a hip injury has kept Goretzka out since December.

The first Champions League quarterfinal legs will be played on 5 and 6 April, with the second legs set to take place on 12 and 13 April.
