Hertha updates: Plans emerge for half of Bobic's ten loaned-out players

In several transfer rumor updates involving Germany's Hertha BSC, German footballing magazine Kicker has news on capital city club loan-outs Javairo Dilrosun, Arne Maier, Eduard Löwen, Daishawn Redan and Jessic Ngankam.
As part of club sporting CEO Fredi Bobic's administrative housekeeping these past two transfer windows, German capital city club Hertha BSC currently has ten players out on loan with other teams. Most all of these footballers are due back at "die alte Dame" after the season concludes. With the end of the campaign rapidly approaching, information about which ones will be returning begins to surface.

Two players (Omar Alderete--FC Valencia) and Arne Maier (FC Augsburg) are known to have automatic purchase clauses. Alderete's is linked to appearances for his current Spanish club. Last week, it was revealed that Maier will remain in Augsburg if the Fuggerstädter manage to avoid relegation this year.

Maier's former Germany U21 teammate Eduard Löwen may remain in VfL Bochum beyond the season on a renewed loan. German footballing magazine Kicker reports that the 1848ers do not have a purchase clause in the 25-year-old's loan agreement. In point of fact, they waived the option. A renewed loan is nevertheless being discussed.

Young German attacker Jessic Ngankam, loaned out to SpVgg Greuther Fürth at the beginning of the season, sustained a serious ACL injury before he could even make an appearance for his loan club. All the complex purchase and buyback options are thus of no relevance. Kicker reports that Bobic and the administrative team wish to send the 21-year-old out on another loan. There is apparently interest from Belgian first-division side KV Kortrijk.

Whereas Ngankam is likely headed abroad again, Dutch winger Javairo Dilrosun is most likely headed back. Girodins Bordeaux secured a €10 million purchase option for the 23-year-old. No goals and three assists in 23 appearances for the club at the bottom of Ligue 1 is nevertheless nowhere near good enough for the French side to consider activating it.

Like Dilrosun, striker Daishawn Redan is player of Dutch/Suriname heritage. The 20-year-old also happens to be another Hertha actor out on loan. Unlike Dilrosun, Redan presently enjoys a decent season with PEC Zwolle in the Erdevisise. The former Ajax and Chelsea academy man was recently voted Dutch "Player of the Month" in February. Kicker reports that his current loan club has no purchase option, but that Hertha wishes to sell him anyway.

Updates involving six of the ten players currently serving loan stints certainly makes for interesting reading. It should still be noted that no news on the remaining four players means that many of the truly interesting questions are left unanswered for the time being.

The big talents--Krzysztof Piatek (ACF Fiorentina), Dodi Lukebakio (VfL Wolfsburg), Jordan Torunarigha (KAA Gent), and Deyovaiso Zeekfuik (Blackburn Rovers)--are technically due back in Charlottenburg after the season as well. Whether or not any of these players wish to return to a club where they enjoyed scant success remains to be seen.
